Humanise Something Free of Error is a visual research project about manmade attempts to influence the climate through weather modification and intervention in natural weather patterns by science and technology. By following the exploits of economic opportunists, military strategists, climate scientists and agricultural planners, H.S.F.E. uses archival research imagery to consider the potential impacts of humanity managing potentially powerful and harmful ecological forces, as well as the overall extreme trajectories of our ecology.
The small paperback format, unfinished open spine and oblique green cover of H.S.F.E. all point towards something unsettled or ripped from context, a reflection on the way Espenon collects, reshuffles and interprets sources as diverse as military archives, weather forums, academic journals and her own personal collections.
